This message was sent from Steve Cramer, vice provost for instructional continuity and academic affairs, to all faculty, instructional academic staff, and TAs assigned in SIS to an active class section for fall semester as of Aug. 25.
All instructors teaching in-person courses will be provided with face coverings, face shields and other materials such as hand sanitizer, shield de-fogging wipes and an extra box of disposable face coverings. Instructors are strongly encouraged to carry extra disposable face coverings when holding their in-person courses in the event that they need to provide a face covering to a student who arrives without one. These PPE items are being shipped to schools and colleges, and pick-up details have been, or will be, sent to you from your designated school and college representative. Microphones will also be distributed through these same locations.
Classroom set-up including cleaning supplies and wipes will be in place this week. You can view layouts for some classrooms in this short video. You will be able to access your classrooms by Aug. 31 if you wish to see them in person, in advance of the semester.
The university’s recommended course syllabus template has been updated to include language that is critical for instruction during the COVID-19 pandemic, and if you plan to use the campus proctoring tool. We strongly encourage you to use the campus syllabus template or incorporate the language into your own syllabus.
Additional resources are posted on this website. If you have questions related to instruction, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
